CLEVELAND, OH – Cleveland Municipal School CEO Dr. Eugene Sanders today unveiled site plans for four single gender schools and the Ginn Academy for at-risk boys scheduled to open in the new school year. 

THE GINN ACADEMY, inspired by and named after noted Glenville High school football coach Ted Ginn, Sr., will open on the second floor of the District’s Promise Academy in the former health careers school located at 1740 E. 32 Street. A single gender highly anticipated school is designed to create a productive, holistic learning environment for males, some of whom are at risk, in the Cleveland Municipal School Disstrict.   Future plans include the establishment of a residency based school environment.  Other elements incllude mentoring, community outreach and partnerships with city and regional agencies.
